Saturday was beautiful and sunny and we raced individual start classic distance, 5k/10k. Sunday was dusting snow and about the same cool temp and we raced mass start skate distance, 10k/15k. Coaches provided great skis, were able to get out there and cheer, parents provided the laughs and Bobcats skied smooth and brought in solid results for this early in the season. Very productive weekend! It was our first race back with Britta and Gracie (who was cheering since she'd not yet been on snow), who have recently arrived back from semesters abroad. We also saw alum ('14) Gabby who is coaching for MWSC, and many other friends of Bates Nordic!
Also racing this weekend we had Wade and Parker in the Rocky Mountain JOQ's, and Laurel, Max, and Bria in Truckee at the Far West JOQ's... skate sprint and classic distance for them. So we are all logging in the intensity, putting the bib on, and having a blast.
